It's a Pug's Life

I entirely forgot to introduce you all to our dear Pug, Sir Raleigh Winston Triumphant III. Or, as we lovingly call him - Sir Dubs, Fat Kid, and when we're feeling really lazy - W. He is officially the best Christmas present I've ever received from Ty and I am madly and deeply in love with his smashed-in face! I didn't think I would turn into one of "those" people who are crazy about their pets, but here I am...totally crazy. In fact, we like to dress him up, because he's just so fun and fat that we get the biggest kick out of it. Amazingly enough, we think he likes it:) So, hope you enjoy some of our family pics plus the few solo ones I think best display Raleigh's love for photo-ops!

What's in a Name?

As you can see, the blog title is "Camp Little Deer." To better explain this title to those who may not already know otherwise, Camp Little Deer, is actually my maiden name (Camp) combined with Ty's last name. No, Ty's last name is not Little Deer but it's the direct translation of his last name which is Jelinek. The name is one of good fortune in some Slavic country over in Europe and apparently VERY common and well known, as I'm seriously asked every time I travel if I know some random Jelinek by the ticket agent...

Anyhow - the moral of the post here is the Camp Good Fortune sounded like a summer camp for up and coming fortune tellers or get quick rich scam artists, and Camp Little Deer is fun!

So there you have it, for fun I've posted a pic of the Camp Little Deer team members.

Dill Weed

What a great title, huh? Something right out of Beavis and Butthead...but really there is something to this post: Dill weed is my new little secret! But it's too good not to share - so I guess it's not so much of a secret anymore. While back in Texas this last May for Becky's graduation, I learned from my Grandma that her amazing egg salad was so amazing thanks to dill weed! As, I've newly embarked on a diet that needs to consist of things like eggs, meat and greens...I thought an egg salad would fit the bill nicely! Now that I have my dill weed I can look forward to that egg salad rather than bemoan the fact that I'm eating eggs for lunch.

So what about you? What small secret ingredient can make all the difference? Please share!

Inspired

Inspired by a dear friend and fellow blogger, Kelley, I decided to take the plunge and start my very own blog! So here I am, and what do do next right? Well - first of all, I thought I'd bring every one up-to-speed...Ty and I are thoroughly enjoying married life...15 months down and counting! We live in Scottsdale, AZ and are currently in the process of undergoing some major life changes and home renovations - stay tuned as I'm sure they'll provide the source of major hilarity and madness! Hope you enjoy the blog and feel free to leave comments.
